Busy Baking

On Saturday Breanna and Aleah have a school carnival.  I was asked to bring in some baked goods.  I decided on a chocolate bunt cake and cupcakes.  The cupcakes are chocolate with peanut butter frosting.  So yummy though I refrained from eating any.  :)  I used another chocolate cake recipe.  I used chunky peanut butter because that's what I had so I had to frost them with out the fun soft serve ice cream look.  Still tastes brilliant.

Made more cupcakes but photographed the last ones.

Lovely Valentines Day

I hope you all had a lovely day.  We had a good time.  I made cards for the kiddos (using the owls I found on Heathers blog) with a little note inside and a sm. box of chocolate.   The sentiment is from an old set I have and it worked out well.

I made this card for Douglas off a card I found on Valerie's blog.  Looks a bit better in
person.  He didn't get chocolates since we are trying to decrease out waist lines.  LOL

Breanna had to make her own Valentine box for school at home.  We decorated a dishwasher soap box.  She seemed to enjoy putting it all together.  It has a handle and lid and worked out well.  I wanted to paint or not use the lid because it doesnt match but Breanna didn't care.  :)

Douglas brought me red roses & my own pillow pet and the girls yellow roses and stuffed animals.  Deven got a Darth Vador backpack.  I made Keli's Italian Wedding soup for dinner.  Nice end the a nice day.

Vintage Valentine

I started this card playing with the sketch from iSpy then added the colors from the Paper Players challenge 82.  Now this was looking vintage to me.  :)  So enters my third challenge OCL104.  I really like the way this turned out.  Most of the time I think vintage is a bit too busy but this was fun.  :)

Can you believe I cant find a Scrapbook store locally?  Nothing, I will have to order everything on line and that's not as much fun.  I used  Freshly Made's #20 sketch.
